Open meeting about the Rose Revolution in Georgia. Main speaker is Ucha Nanuashvili, an independent voice for justice, transparency and human rights in Georgia.
Human Rights Center, formerly Human Rights Information and Documentation Center (HRIDC) was founded on December 10, 1996 in Tbilisi, Georgia. They have followed the development prior, during, and after the Rose Revolution 2003. Ucha Nanuashvili has several times been offered high positions in the political system but always stayed committed to an independent role as a voice for justice, transparency, and respect for democratic and human rights.
After his introduction there will be time for questions and comments. John Jones from Networkes SouthNorth and Jørgen Johansen from Folkereisning Mot Krig have been asked to prepare some comments prior to opening the floor to the audience.
The Human Rights Center is dedicated to protection and promotion of human rights, rule of law and peace in Georgia. It is free of any political and religious affiliation.
