The first PrepCom session from 12-23 July 2010 constitutes half the total time available to develop the Treaty before the final Treaty negotiating conference in 2012. It is imperative that States pursue an ambitious agenda over the two weeks available this year. At the PrepCom we need to raise the bar by:
Quickly establishing a list of elements or headings of articles
Moving on to introduce draft text on key elements of the ATT.
