Peace House is sett­led down!

 

We are happy to announce that 1st of January first Peace House in Oslo star­ted to work in new loca­liza­tion at Møl­ler­gata 12. Peace House is going to be Norway’s cen­tral meeting for all those involved for peace. Seve­ral orga­niza­tions are in our new office: The Nor­we­gian Peace Associa­tion, CISV, Peace Bri­ga­des Inter­na­tio­nal, ICAN – Inter­na­tio­nal Cam­paign to Abo­lish Nuclear Weapons, LIM,  No to Nuclear Weapons.

We hope that the col­lection of various peace orga­niza­tions will con­tri­bute to the effi­ci­ency of the impor­tant peace work, which is being done in Nor­way. With the new arena, we want the peace move­ment will have a stron­ger voice and grea­ter visi­bi­lity through a natu­ral meeting place for, among other things, infor­ma­tion exchange, capacity buil­ding, coope­ra­tion, and various events.

Do you want to rent Peace House?

Only a short walk from Youngs­tor­get, oppo­site the pubs Jus­ti­sen and Sosia­len, The Peace House is one of  Oslo’s most uni­que and exci­ting venues. The specta­cu­lar view over the capi­tal from 7th floor makes The Peace House suit­able for meetings, work­shops and parties.

The Peace House’s large semi­nar room is 150 square meters, and can be rented out both per hour, half / full day and for lon­ger periods. There is no require­ment that the acti­vities must be related to peace issues. The room can be rented as it is, or we will assist you in sta­ging it. The room have flex­ible space solu­tions and the semi­nar room can easily be adap­ted to both large and small events. The room is suit­able for many types of acti­vities, eg.:

• Poli­ti­cal meetings, group work­shops, lecture, etc. with 20 to 100 par­ti­ci­pants.
• Film scre­en­ings
• Pre­sen­ta­tions
• Com­pa­nies and par­ties (eg. Con­fir­ma­tions, wed­dings, birth­days etc.)
• Dan­cing, yoga, meditatio

Price and equip­ment semi­nar.
Semi­nar room costs with VAT 5000 kro­ner for a full day and 4 000 for a half day. In price is inclu­ded using of the following equip­ment  (by arrangement):

• Pro­jec­tor and screen.
• Speak­ers, sound sys­tem and up to four microp­ho­nes
• Wire­less inter­net con­nec­tion
• White­board and flipchart
• podium
• 100 chairs and 10 tab­les that can be com­bined accor­ding to your needs
• Disab­led Adap­ted toi­l­ets and lifts.
• Free use of kitchen (see below)

Kitchen
For ten­ants who rent our semi­nar room, we offer our kitchen faci­lities. The kitchen is equip­ped with stove, refri­ge­ra­tor, coffe­ema­ker, dis­hes, glas­ses and cut­lery for up to 70 people and a dis­hwasher. Ten­ants can use the kitchen to pre­pare food, coffee, refresh­ments, etc. based on self-service principle.
